The Game of Photography Exhibition | Milan
Italian institute and school of photogaphy, the Istituto Italiano di Fotografia, has held a special exhibition of in-game photography in Milan, featuring a series of photo mode images captured in Forza Motorsport over the last 3 years by Italian virtual photographer Davide di Tria, aka Gasoline Photography.
The two-week exhibition was described by the IIF as a research tool to understand and represent the world of home gaming entertainment and to analyse how people play in their private spaces, what emotions bind them to games and what leads them to share these experiences online with other players.
Hopefully they will also realise the potential that in-game / virtual photography has when it comes to learning about real-world photographic techniques as well, either way, it is great to see more physical exhibitions of this emerging digital art form…
