The original and most prestigious awards in the modern art of virtual photography are set to return this December 14 – 31.
Bringing together players, photographers & studio creatives, the awards include both game industry categories to recognise the best of consumer photo modes, and public photography entries to showcase the most outstanding images captured by the many screenshot artists around the globe.

Star Wars Outlaws | Photo Mode Contest
Under the banner of Ubisoft’s wider “PHOTOMODE” series, an official Photo Mode Contest for Star Wars Outlaws has launched and is looking for the best photos of your scoundrel life in the Outer Rim.
Prizes include photo prints, special edition Xbox controllers, and Nix plushies!
The contest is now open with entries closing on January 5th 2025. That means you’ve got plenty of time to take part, just don’t leave it too late.

Framing the Nine Realms | God of War Ragnarök Anniversary Celebration
To mark the recent 2-year anniversary of God of War Ragnarök, Santa Monica Studio have put together a special feature dedicated to virtual photographers and their ability to immortalise characters and capture the essence of the Nine Realms.
The piece shines a spotlight on six God of War photo mode enthusiasts with a look into their creative process and reflection on their experience of capturing the game’s characters and environments through the lens of photo mode.
